Your Children

It’s important to remember that your child’s perception of the dentist at a young age will influence their feelings towards the dentist for the rest of their lives. We want to help get your children off to the best possible start which is why we believe in making their visit as fun as possible.

What you can do

All we ask of you is that you please use fun and happy words when talking to your child about the dentist. It is only with your help that we can make your child’s visit a pleasant one and give your child a positive feeling when thinking of thePrint dentist.

We encourage parents to bring their children for regular check-ups from an early age to enable them to get used to the dentist and help them grow up free from dental disease.

We recommend that your child wears a Sports Mouthguard when playing certain types of sport so that nothing untoward can happen to their teeth. We supply custom-made sports mouth guards in a range of fun and vibrant colours.

What we can do

We strongly believe that prevention is better than cure so to maintain the beautiful and healthy smile of your child, we offer a number of services.

Regular check-ups – by going to the dentist every 6 months, your child will get used to us quickly and we will also be able to detect any dental disease early and act appropriately so to keep the intervention to a minimum.

Application of fluoride varnish or gel – this is done to harden the enamel of your child’s tooth to make it more resistant to dental disease.

Fissure sealants – fissure sealants are applied to teeth with deep groves to prevent food getting stuck in them. This makes teeth easier to clean and also helps to prevent decay from occurring.

White fillings – in the event where your child does need a filling, we use materials that are white and metal free to keep their smile as natural looking as possible.

Oral health education and dietary advice – we are always on hand to show your child how to clean their teeth properly. This is the most important dental advice your child can be given as proper cleaning will help to avoid dentalproblems from occurring in the future.
